Meet Dr. Dy
Dr. Mary Dy received her Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Indiana University, Bloomington, and her Doctorate of Optometry from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Her clinical training includes comprehensive experience at Fenway Health and a residency in Community Health Optometry in Lynn, MA, where she collaborated with local health centers. Dr. Dy has held leadership roles as Interim Clinical Director at Fenway Health, and Academic Coordinator at New England College of Optometry, where she coordinated intern placements and managed clinical education programs. She is also a dedicated educator, having served as a tutor and preceptor for optometry students, guiding their development in primary care and ocular disease.
Passionate about community health, Dr. Dy has engaged in research on ocular health and eye movement tracking, resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals. She actively participates in professional organizations and has presented at national conferences such as the American Academy of Optometry Annual Meeting, highlighting her commitment to advancing the field of optometry.
Dr. Dy performs comprehensive eye exams, and refractive surgery evaluations, manages ocular disease, and collaborates with ophthalmologists for surgical co-management. Her primary interests include primary care optometry, ocular disease, and enhancing patient education. In her free time, Dr. Dy enjoys running marathons and caring for her dog and two cats.
