I had monovision and my vision in the left eye (far eye) was 20/20 the day after, it was 25/20 in the right eye (near vision). Left eye it was as if I didnt even had surgery, right eye had initial shooting pain with minimal tearing however improved basically within a few hours. Youre basically almost new the next day.
My ICL surgery with Dr Melki was quick, easy, and relatively painless. He made me feel comfortable during the procedure, and the recovery is going well. I am so glad I decided to go through with ICL as it has made such a big improvement in my quality of life. Thanks Dr Melki and staff!
I was very happy with my experience and the results. Boston Vision was very transparent about the process and the procedure. The whole process was made very easy.
I had a great experience with my Evo ICL procedure. I had myopia, with a power of around -5 in each eye. I could have gone with LASIK, but I chose ICL because: - fewer patients report having dry eyes 1 year after the procedure - reversible: in case I was one of the unlucky few with dry eyes/halos to the point where I hated it - preserve my cornea in case future advances in medical technology open doors that might otherwise be closed by getting an irreversible procedure like LASIK. Dr. Jason Brenner was my surgeon. He is excellent. I showed up to the evaluation appointment with a printed list of 10-12 questions. He was good humored about it, took the time to answer everything, and listened well. I didnt get the lets-rush-you-because-this-is-an-assembly-line feeling folks sometimes get at corrective eye surgery clinics. He was calm, quick, and responsive during the procedure. My right lens didnt feel like it sat quite right, so he went back and made sure it was set optimally. Great job, I would recommend him, and the Boston Vision team. I had my follow-up with Dr Dy. She was also great. I had the worst headache Ive ever had the day of the surgery. It lasted about 5 hours. My right eye was about 24 hours behind my left eye in its recovery simply because of a difference in post-op swelling in the corneas. Dr Dy had me come back for an extra follow up (without charge) to make sure my right eye had caught up to my left in healing. It had. Im one week out from surgery. No headache, no dry eyes (although I use artificial tears 3x a day at least), mild halos. It feels great to have good vision again. Thank you to everyone involved in my care.
I had ICL surgery at Boston Vision on February 5, 2025, and chose Dr. Melki as my surgeon. Before the procedure, my pupils were dilated and I was given a sedative. After waiting for about 30 minutes, the surgery began. The entire process was quick, taking only a few minutes per eye. During the procedure, I had to focus on a light, which felt very bright and uncomfortable due to the dilation. When the lens was placed in my eye, I felt some pressure and discomfort, but no pain.On the day of the surgery, my eyes were extremely sensitive to light because of the dilation. After returning home, I took a nap, and when I woke up, I was amazed to find that distant objects were already clear. However, I still had trouble focusing on things up close. By the next morning, most of the discomfort had subsided, and my vision was sharp. The recovery was much faster than I had expected.
