I actually had my Lasik surgery at the Brookline office in the spring of 2017. Since my surgery, I now have 20/20 vision back after being near sighted for about 10 years. Dr. Brenner performed my surgery and it was easy and I was out of the office within an hour. I no longer have to wear glasses or contacts and I can easily say, this is the best procedure I have endorsed publicly. If you want your vision back, go to Boston Laser and get Lasik today!
I did reach out to the office to let them know about the issue with my lenses and they scheduled another eye exam in the Wellesley office. I have to say I had a much better experience visiting the Wellesley office it was quiet and the people were overly friendly and sincere! My prescription was incorrect and they corrected it and will now replace the lenses on the four pairs of glasses I bought. So overall I am extremely pleased with this experience.
In terms of the PRK, Boston Laser knows what they're doing. The day of, they had a cute little breakfast spread (nice touch and indicative that they think out every detail) and gave out a tote bag with highlighted, easy-to-read instructions (key to have while under Valium). If I had known how quick and painless the procedure was, I would have done this years ago! I had been utterly terrified but they narrated every step during the procedure and do it very efficiently.
I had PRK 6 days ago. The day of the procedure went well. Everything went smoothly and was relatively quick and painless. However, with that meant that I never actually saw my surgeon on that day. You're brought into the surgery room and immediately laid down on the bed and one eye covered, there isn't even time to look around and see who is there or take in where you are. Then after they immediately move you out to get the next patient in. It would have been nice to have some time to take in the room and maybe even have a quick word with the surgeon. Also, I had a lot of problems with the prescriptions they sent in. The instructions sent to the pharmacy didn't match the instructions given to me the day of the surgery, so I ran out before my pharmacy was approved to dispense more from my insurance. However, more importantly, the original prescription wasn't even enough to last for the entire duration of how long I am supposed to take the drops so I ended up having to pay two extra co-pays that, had they written the prescription differently I wouldn't have had to pay. They ask you to bring your drops with you to the day of the surgery, but the tech never checked to make sure the quantities were appropriate.Overall, I would recommend this place to others, however, it wasn't perfect.
