What is Agnes RF Microneedling?
Agnes RF microneedling is a non-invasive skin tightening treatment that stimulates collagen production to restore a more youthful appearance. Microneedling is also known as collagen induction therapy because it triggers the body’s natural healing response, including the stimulation of new collagen. RF energy in combination with microneedling delivers heat energy to the deep skin tissues, tightening the collagen fibers while stimulating new collagen production.
How Does Agnes RF Microneedling Rejuvenate the Eyes?
Sagging skin and wrinkles are common signs of aging that result from collagen loss. Skin aging around the eyes leads to drooping upper lids, undereye bags or hollows, and a drooping brow. Sagging skin on the upper lids is more than a cosmetic concern. This loose skin weighs heavily on the lids and can impair your field of vision. What to Expect During Agnes RF Microneedling Treatment
Consultation
Agnes RF microneedling starts with a consultation at our office. One of our doctors will examine your skin, ask about your medical history, and discuss your cosmetic goals to determine whether Agnes RF is right for you. In general, Agnes RF is safe for all skin types and almost all skin tones. If you have moderate to severe skin laxity, we may refer you to a medical spa or plastic surgeon for more invasive cosmetic rejuvenation.
Treatment Day
Agnes RF treatment is performed in our office and requires no anesthesia. However, patients may feel more comfortable with a numbing cream. Once your skin is cleansed and prepared for treatment, the Agnes RF microneedling device will be applied to the skin around your eyes. The tiny microneedles in the Agnes RF device create microchannels (pinprick wounds) on the skin’s surface while delivering heat energy to the deep tissues. Treatment only takes 30 minutes and is not considered painful by most patients.
Post-Treatment
There is minimal downtime after Agnes Precision RF treatment. After your procedure, you can immediately return to work or other daily activities. Mild swelling and tenderness with minimal discomfort may occur but can be easily managed with cold compresses and over-the-counter pain medication. Most patients achieve beautiful results in one treatment, but patients with more skin laxity can receive up to three treatments for optimal results.
