Jason Brenner, MD
Meet Dr. Brenner
Jason Brenner has been an amazing addition to our Boston Vision team. With his educational background and experience, our patients can feel confident in the care they receive from Dr. Brenner. He started his education at Lafayette College where he obtained a Bachelor of Science in biology with a minor in medical ethics. During his time at Lafayette College, he was also a full-time collegiate athlete in rowing. After his undergrad, he attended medical school at George Washington University School of Medicine in Washington D.C. He then completed his residency training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, where he was also Chief Resident.
Dr. Brenner is a board-certified ophthalmologist, specializing in cornea, refractive, and anterior segment surgery. As a cornea specialist, he performs corneal transplants including less invasive partial-thickness procedures like DALK and ultrathin DSEK. He has also been performing corneal cross-linking for keratoconus since it was FDA approved. His primary interests include LASIK, Visian ICL surgery, cataract surgery, the use of the femtosecond laser, sutured intraocular lenses, and anterior segment reconstruction.
Dr. Brenner also practices comprehensive ophthalmology, including non-surgical glaucoma, dry eye, diabetes, and other routine ocular health conditions.
Ever since he was Chief Resident at Temple, he has enjoyed teaching residents and fellows. He now routinely works with cornea fellows from the Boston Vision and Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. Dr. Brenner supervises Boston University master’s students in both research and clinical activities. He is a staff surgeon at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and has an appointment in ophthalmology at Harvard Medical School as a part-time lecturer.
