Meet Dr. Sabbah

Dr. Walid Sabbah is a highly trained ophthalmologist specializing in cornea and refractive surgery, as well as cataract and anterior segment procedures. He earned his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine at Alexandria University in Egypt, graduating in 2018. He went on to complete his residency in ophthalmology at Alexandria University Hospitals between 2019 and 2024.

Dr. Sabbah currently serves as an Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Ophthalmology at Alexandria University, a role he began in March 2024. In addition to his academic and clinical duties in Egypt, he has pursued advanced international training through a fellowship in cornea and refractive surgery at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Boston Vision, beginning in July 2025.

He holds a Master’s degree in Visual Science (2022–2024), with a research focus on corneal diseases and keratoconus. He is also a PhD candidate in the field of corneal surgery (2025–present), reflecting his commitment to advancing ophthalmic research and surgical excellence.

Dr. Sabbah is a Fellow of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists (FRCOphth) in London, a distinction he received in 2024.
